Get answers to common questions about Upper Leg Wax.
Hair should be about a quarter inch (6 mm) for optimal waxing. Shorter hairs may not adhere and very long hair can increase discomfort. If hair is too short or long, we’ll guide you or suggest gentle trimming before your Upper Leg Wax appointment.
Most clients feel brief discomfort during Upper Leg Waxing, usually described as quick stinging. Our skilled estheticians use quality wax and soothing techniques to minimize pain. Numbing creams can be used on request, and tenderness typically subsides within a few hours to a day.
Schedule Upper Leg Wax every four to six weeks, depending on your hair growth and personal preference. Regular waxing weakens follicles and may slow regrowth, extending time between appointments. Book according to visible regrowth or before events for consistently smooth legs.
You can shave between appointments if needed, but shaving resets regrowth and may affect waxing results. If you shave, allow at least two weeks of growth before returning so wax can properly catch hairs. We recommend trimming rather than frequent shaving when possible.
Avoid using retinoids, acne medications, or strong exfoliants for at least 48–72 hours before your Upper Leg Wax. Also skip tanning, self-tanners, and heavy moisturizers on the day of your appointment to ensure the wax adheres properly and minimize irritation.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, direct sun, and harsh exfoliation for 24–48 hours post-wax. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid tight clothing immediately after service to reduce irritation and promote faster healing of the Upper Leg Waxed area.
